Hello,
I am going to talk about the dos and don'ts when you're acting in an audience, or when you're doing film acting. What I would like to say first is the key to good acting is not facing your back to the audience. This isn't something you should do at all. That's cos if you do only half of the audience can see your face when you perform. You may not face your back toward the camera, either when you do acting. Unless if you're told to. I hope that you enjoy the rest of the dos and don'ts of this blog as I list them in what you should do and what you shouldn't do.
Dos
1. Show eye contact. You'll want to do this to show the audience that you're talking to them, not the ground of the stage.
2. Have your lines memorized. You should probably already know this, but this should be self explanatory. You don't want to be staring off into space when your line is next saying, " I forgot my line",
3. Practice. This is another self explanatory one as well as the last one. You'll need to practice your lines and rehearse them too. There's no need to have an excuse that you can't perform.
Now here is what not to do:
1. Don't have your lines be expressionless. If your character has an anxious attitude all the time. Show the anxious attitude.
2. Don't ignore the parenthesis in the script. They're there to help with what you need to do in that particular scene.
3. Don't do the opposite of what you're supposed to do in your script. This could get the audience confused with what you're supposed to do.
That's the end of what not to do when performing in both Theatre and Film acting. Here are some links to get you the idea of what to do. These links will be of my favourite actress, Kate Winslet, and my favourite actor, Leonardo Dicaprio.

Storylines and Scripts
Hello,
Today I will be talking about storylines and scripts in acting. As you may know, everything in acting has two main parts: a storyline and a script. In this blog, I am going to talk about both. First, I will talk about a storyline.
A storyline has a beginning, middle and end, and makes sense with the plot. The storyline always has to make sense with the plot, no matter what. Plots are also very important too. The plot stages are: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution, if you didn't already know. The climax is the turning point of the storyline. Here is an example of a storyline and a plot line:
Storyline: Chasity goes to the beach for three hours with her friend, Emily. When she got there, she forgot to bring her bathing suit. She asks Emily if she has an extra bathing suit. She doesn't. Then, her whole family has to get back in the car to check if she left it at her house.
Chasity finds her bathing suit on her dresser, right where she left it. Emily and the others run quickly to the car and go to the beach. Then, they have fun for the rest of the time they're there.
Plotline:
Exposition: Chasity is on her way to the beach.
Rising Action: She gets to the beach.
Climax: Chasity forgot her bathing suit.
Falling action: asks Emily if she has an extra bathing suit. She doesn't.
Resolution: Chasity and her friends' family go back to her house. She finds the bathing suit she was looking for on the dresser.

How to act like someone else
Hello,
I just wanted to let you know about a new acting exercise that you actors and actresses should know about. This exercise is trying to act like someone else. You might be thinking something like this: what do you mean act like someone else. I am me and I like being me. Well, what I mean by acting like someone else is by trying to go into a place where people don't know you. The reason for that is because, if you were to ever go into a place where people know you. They will probably think you're weird, but that is why you shouldn't do that.
You're probably wondering : how can I portray a different character other than myself? What you do is think of your favourite film star. It can help if you know what type of character that film actor or actress' roles are of the films that they're in. For example, if you were trying to portray someone like Nicole Kidman. You'd probably be thinking of films like The Golden Compass, where she played a little bit of the sinister side. Therefore, you'd try to act like Nicole Kidman would, and portray her character. Obviously, it doesn't have to be Nicole Kidman that you're trying to portray. It could be anybody.
It would also be a good idea to look at some interviews that they were in. This will help find out what they're like when they're not on camera. If you're interested in the actors and actresses listed below feel free to click the links for that celebrity.
1. Emma Watson
2. Kate Winslet
3. Cameron Diaz
4. Dakota Blue Richards
5. Leonardo Dicaprio
6. Jude Law
7. Nicole Kidman
8. Jack Black
9. Daniel Radcliffe
10. Rupert Grint

Pantomime
Hey,
I am going to talk about one of the things in acting called Pantomime. Pantomime is a lot like playing chrades, if you have a group of people to play Pantomime with of course. What you do is either decide to perform by yourself or with a group of friends. After that, you decide what you're going to act out. You can act out anything you want if you're not doing Pantomime at school. The next thing you want to do is pick out a story line from beginning, middle, and end. The storyline has to make sense with the Pantomime.
The group of people playing the game will try to guess what you're " acting out". If they get it right, then the next person goes and so forth. I hope that this makes sense to you guys. If you have any questions, please contact me.

Mirroring
Hello,
Right now, it's very late and I am staying up to talk to you all about mirroring. Mirroring is when two people act out different motions without talking. If it's an exercise that is. Normally, the actors/ actresses would mirror the same movements that one person is doing, but say different things to one another. I don't think that anyone really sees this in much television programmes that much. I know that I don't see it very often, but if you do see it more than I do. Please comment below what television programmes in England do that.
Anyways, the object is to mock the other person's same movements. When you practice this, you can do anything you want when it comes to mirroring. As long as it isn't inappropriate or anything. Only if you're mirroring it at school. Otherwise, be as naughty as you want, lols. That pretty much wraps up this lesson.

Acting and appearence
Hello,
I am here to talk about what acting is and your appearance. My definition of acting is- a portrayal of a character that isn't yourself. There are several types of acting that people go into such as the following:
1. Film
2. Theatre
3. Broadway
4. Television
There are several steps in becoming an actress or actor professionally. The first and most important one is acting classes. You'll need acting classes to start off to know how to act. When you do get into the acting business, you'll need to know the terms used in the script, and what the director has to say. There really is no number of years that you need for acting classes. The more you take the better you'll be. Practicing techniques also comes in handy when doing daily routines.
The second most important thing in becoming an actor or actress is deciding what kind of acting you want to do. This will help with what kind of classes you want to take in school and college. You'll also want to go to a college that has programmes for acting. The type of acting I want to get into is Film acting.
The third thing is finding acting jobs. That could probably only be accomplished with an agent. You should probably get an agent when you graduate from college. If you find that you can't get enough work with one agent then ask your agent if they have anymore agencies. If you ever have an agent that asks for money upfront. It's a scam. You should always just ask why they need the money. If they have no answer to your question. It's a scam.
The final thing is your appearance. In acting, this is a job where your looks are taken very seriously. You should always try to get clear skin, if you don't already have it. If you have acne like me. Try your best to get clear skin. It will work, every little bit helps. Anyways, you should go to a photo place where they do professional photography. This may cost a fortune, but it's totally going to be worth it. Unless, if the photo place is horrible.
You'll need lots of confidence in order to become an actor/ actress. As you should know, confidence is everything. If you lack confidence in yourself. Odds are you won't accomplish anything. If you look at famous actors/ actresses you'll notice how confident they are. They also have very clear skin.
I hope that you enjoy this blog. I will see you in another blog about some acting stuff.
