Hello,
I am going to talk about improvisation. In my opinion, improvisation is one of the best things in all of acting. The reason for that is cos you pretty much go along with what the scene is. However, there are rules that must be followed:
1. Just go with it.
2. Stay in the now.
3. No negating.
You must follow these rules in order to be successful with improvisation. Just remember not to make up your own rules for improvisation. What my acting teacher did was having people in that class go against the rules listed above. That will help you a lot with what you should do, and what you shouldn't do.
There are also certain kinds of games you can play to get better at improvisation, such as park bench. This game is supposed to be placed in Central Park in New York City. The object of the game is to be as weird and goofy as possible. What you're supposed to do is one person starts off by sitting on a " bench" and someone walks up to and sits by and they just make up the rest of what you have to do. Then, the person who has sat there the longest has to make up and excuse to leave the "bench".
