Monologues and Emotions

     Hello,
I am going to talk today about monologues. A monologue is a script that you get that involves you talking to the audience, or camera. All you do is say words to the audience or camera on your script. In some cases, you don't have to memorize the script, but in most cases, you'd have to memorize the script. Monologues can be in a range of emotions like:
angry
sad
annoyed
happy

If you'd like to practice portraying emotions, I would suggest to create a monologue and practice the emotions you'd like to portray. If you don't want to create the monologues, I would go to a website and print one off, there are lots of websites that have monologues for actors and actresses. I'd suggest to go on this youtube channel    I would click on her video that says " Acting Exercise : Improvising Emotions" and go to the description and click on her link to her acting website and look at the websites that she lists and the emotions of monologues.
Monologues can also be in a range of genres like:
seriocomic
comedy
dramatic
serious

Monologues can be a range of 30 seconds to about an hour, I'd suggest to make a mini monologue and practice at least 30 minutes a day. You'd need to practice for at least that long a day. It's alright if you don't practice every day, just every other day is fine. This can help with your way of acting in that emotion just so you can become better at that emotion.
Acting takes practice and classes in order to be amazing at it. I hope you enjoyed this little message. I will see you maybe tomorrow.
- Cherie
